Bread? In a bakery? Groundbreaking.
The Devil Wears Prada is definitely having its (second) moment in the spotlight.

The original 2006 classic* spotlighted brands from Gucci to Chanel, Vivienne Westwood to Dolce & Gabbana, Calvin Klein to Valentino.
And, of course, Starbucks.
In the same way that those Chanel boots became an iconic look, the it-girl accessory for busy office employees quickly became one of their mermaid-embossed cups, filled with nondescript brown liquid and an unholy amount of milk. Forget flat whites, iced shaken espressos, or matcha - the 2006 choices were a cappuccino, a latte, or filter coffee.
And, while we’ve all been guilty of darting through those green and white doors and ordering a coffee-well-actually-it’s-a-milkshake, wouldn’t today’s Runway employees be a little more discerning?
Especially in Bristol.
Especially if they just happened to be located near Ashley Down Road.
Especially if they could get their coffee from a small, independent, artisan bakery.
Especially if-
You can see where we’re going with this.
Miranda Priestly

No foam, skimmed milk latte with an extra shot.
Hot.
Obviously.
(don’t look her in the eye)
Emily

A double espresso. She’s got places to be.
Paris, mostly.
Andy

We don’t do onion bagels, so Andy picks up a mini breakfast focaccia.
Nigel is just as disparaging about the lingering smell of pancetta and olive oil.
Nigel

An unsweetened iced matcha and a miniature viennoiserie.
He’s the only person we’ve ever seen who can eat a croissant and not get covered in pastry flakes.
Serena (aka Gisele Bündchen)

A glass of oat milk.
It’s not technically on the till but we don’t say anything because we’re all a bit scared of her.
Nate

He comes in once a week for a loaf of sourdough to make his famous 20-dollars-of-Jarlsberg grilled cheese.
He says that, but we all know he’s actually just trying to bump into Andy.
Christian

Nothing. He’s barred.
