The hot girl walk. Not just for hot girls (trademark pending, presumably), because you don’t even need to be hot. Or a girl. Or even walk. Just get from point A to point B in a way that makes you feel good physically and mentally.
Obviously, the best end to any walk is a picnic, a fun little bev, and an iconic view. So here’s the route that we’ll be doing on repeat all summer, plus all our favourite stops and shout-outs on the way.
Put on some comfy shoes, pick your favourite playlist, grab a friend - it’s time to hit the streets.
Start chez nous, of course. Pick up a couple of baguettes, an Earl Grey brownie or two (depending on how nibbly you’re feeling), and one of our new Mango Iced Teas. Well, you’ve got to stay hydrated - right?
Head left out of Guild. Tired already? Stop off at The Lazy Dog for a sit-down and/or a pick-me-up. Then follow Ashley Down Road until it meets Gloucester Road.
Cross over the road to Fancy Plants to jazz up your picnic with a little leafy friend.
Flowers in hand, walk south down Gloucester Road. Better Food is a great stop for local cheese and charcuterie to pair with your baguettes - or, if you’re looking for something a bit more plant-based, we’re big fans of Julienne Bruno’s Burrella and KindaCo’s Summer Truffle.
At The Arches, stop off at Dano Mart for some homemade kimchi and some peach makgeolli for a probiotic boost.
Head west through Redland, down Cotham Hill, and on to Whiteladies Road. Finished your iced tea? Keep your caffeine and energy levels topped up with The Colombian Company’s shake of the month (and a cookie, because you’ve walked all this way).
Alma Road is just down the side of Clifton Down Shopping Centre. If you’re feeling tired (or in need of lunch), The Alma Tavern is a great place to stop for a pint, a homemade pizza, or (depending on when you started walking) a great piece of independent theatre.
If you’re still going, turn right onto Pembroke Road. Take in the sights of Clifton College and the Bristol Zoo (RIP :( ) sign on Guthrie Road.
If you haven’t had enough culture yet, mosey on up Percival Road and stick your head into the Redgrave Theatre to scratch your showbiz itch.
At the top of Percival Road, cross over Clifton Down, and clamber up the hill to Clifton Observatory. Mission accomplished!
Just find the perfect view of the Suspension Bridge, choose a likely looking tuft of grass, and settle in for a totally Bristolian afternoon of picnicking and people-watching.

Or just go to the harbour. We’re not the boss of your legs.
