Forget skibidi, brat summer, and demure - 2025's word of the year is fibre.


Coming in as a major health focus for the year, it looks like more than 90% of us aren't getting enough of this nutrient. Fibre might not be chic, but it's got a whole range of positive benefits, including for your heart, your weight, and your fabulous colon. Current NHS guidelines recommend 30g of fibre per day - luckily, there are some easy ways to up your own intake and join that exclusive 10% of us who are hitting our fibre targets.


Swap your white bread for something a bit more colourful


  • We all love a slice of Wonderbread, but white isn't the way to go when we're looking for something more digestion-friendly. Instead, try changing out your loaf for a wholemeal, rye, or granary loaf.
